Our beautiful Sissy turns 8

Sissy turns 8 on February 13, 2015.  Sissy and I went shopping for her birthday present on 1-30-15.  She had a 1/2 day of school, so I picked up all 3 kids and went home for lunch and then Sissy and I left for birthday shopping.  She found everything she wanted within 40 minutes at Toys R Us so then we went to Oberweiss Dairy for a huge hot fudge Sundae.  While Sissy was eating her Sundae she preceded to tell me I was pronouncing Sundae wrong, it is pronounced Sunday, so now I know.  Sissy is the best.  I especially love her hugs and kisses, no one hugs better than Sissy.  She is known in our family as the best hugger ever.
On February 13th, Sissy's birthday, I was invited to St. Gabes by Charlie to read a story to his class.  When Sissy got wind of this she asked if I could visit her class because it was her birthday.  I received permission to visit Sissy after I read to Charlie's class.  I took a birthday balloon and got to hear the class sing Happy Birthday to Sissy, it was an awesome day.  I am so blessed.

More funnies from Dylan and Sissy

In January of 2015 I was talking to Dylan about his first communion coming up in April.  I was telling him how proud I was of him and what a big deal it was and he turned to me and said "I don't know what the big deal is, I don't even know if I will like it!"  By this he meant if he will like the taste of the communion bread.  This is how Dylan is he focuses on the taste of the communion, not what it represents.  But believe me, if he doesn't like it when they practice, there is no way he will accept it or he will but he will be crying all the way down the aisle.

2-19-2015 All the kids were over and we were having lunch, for dessert I had brownies, their favorite and Sissy asked, "Grandma is their powder sugar on the brownies, because I gave up powder sugar for lent!" Luckily for me, there was no powder sugar on the brownies so she could eat them guilt free.

Bestest Grandma in the Universe

Proud Things - You never know what kind of impact you make on your grandkids until you get this kind of feedback.  To me, this humbled me and made me more aware and a little more stressed to try to be a better person for my grandchildren.

Mary texted me the following picture on March 2, 2015.
Sissy had to tell the teacher who their hero was and Sissy picked me.  I was speechless and humbled.  Sissy told me that she picked me because I always put everyone first before myself.  I still can't get over the shock of it but I am so honored.

The next thing I received was on Sunday March 29th, 2015.  Again Sissy had to write a paragraph and she picked me to write about, here is that paper.  She also got a 96% on it.

Now in this story, she says I am the bestest Grandma in the Universe, I guess I have to agree with that.  Also, she says I always come downstairs when they play fake restaurant and when they dress up.  I don't know if I always go downstairs when they do this but you can bet from now on, I will always go downstairs so I don't lose my title bestest Grandma in the Universe.

My Birthday Cards

I have to share my 2 birthday cards I received from my grandbabies.  The first one is a story Leah wrote and we all rolled at her very descriptive prince in the story which sounded a lot like her PawPaw.  I love this gift and will keep it always.  The second picture is from my sweet Sissy girl.  Sissy has the biggest heart and draws such wonderful pictures.  There is nothing more that I treasure than homemade cards and pictures.
