Kylie and Leah spending the night at Grandma and PawPaw's house

We had our first Disney Family Meeting Saturday, January 20, 2014 for our trip coming up, thank you Brian for all your help in preparing for the trip.  We all met, had lunch and then started making reservations for things we want to do.  Leah and Kylie said they wanted to spend the night so after everyone else left, we went to 4:30 mass and then out to eat.  Leah suggested a Chinese Buffet, she talked Kylie into agreeing on going, so that is where we ended up and the first picture is them pigging out.  Then they wanted a spa treatment, Kylie brought a mud mask, so they put on swimsuits and put on the mud mask.  They just had a ball and stayed in the water til it turned cold.  After that they went to their room and watched kids shows.  In the morning they both ordered eggs and french toast sticks, the little princesses got their wish.  It was a great time.  We really enjoy our time with our Grand kids and hope they will be able to look back on these memories and think they are as special as we do.

Leah our star athlete turns 10

Leah is our super athlete, she plays all sports and puts 110% in everyone of them.  We love to watch her play soccer the most.  She is excellent.  Leah is super sensitive and wants to be everyone's friend.  I had so much fun shopping with Leah for her birthday, she wanted to go to Claire's, which we did and she picked out over 20 pairs of ear rings and other fun things.  We completed her shopping in less than 30 minutes.  From there we went to her favorite eating place, Chinese buffets. It is so much fun shopping with the kids for their birthday presents.  I love you Leah more than you will ever know.

Another GREAT Christmas 2013

Our tradition is the Friday after Thanksgiving, everyone comes to our house and the grandkids decorate our tree for us.  They take turns putting the angel on top of the tree and I take a picture of it so we remember who did it the previous year, this prevents fights.  Also, Brian and Mary bring all the leftovers for another Turkey dinner, it is great.  The second picture is when they are done decorating.

Christmas day starts around 11am at our house when the kids start coming.  The first thing we do is take some family pictures and we threaten the kids to smile nice or no presents.  We had a great Christmas as you can see with all our pictures.  We are all so blessed.

Dylan turns 7

Dylan turned 7 on November 30, 2013.  I took him shopping for his birthday gifts about 2-3 weeks before his birthday.  We went to Toys R Us and he picked out legos and a trash truck, he loves trash trucks for some reason.  Dylan is very much a boy but he still likes to cuddle and will come up and hug you when you least expect it and tell you how much he loves you.  He loves the women in his life.  He will break a lot of hearts because he is such a lover.  Dylan may take a lot of time to convince him of things and teaching him things but he is well worth the extra time.  I love him so much.  He is my Boo.

Iris our first Granddog!

Brian brought Iris home the first time in October of 1999, we thought she was beautiful.  We have many wonderful memories of Iris and some of our favorites were with my Mom, she would hide treats in her purse and Iris would put her whole head in her purse to retrieve them.  When Brian graduated from college in 2000 he brought Iris home with him.  She became a part of our family.  We always would babysit Iris if Mary and Brian went out of town and she always felt at home in our house.  In 2001 Julie adopted Kensey and Kensey and Iris became best friends but Iris was always the boss.  Even though Kensey lived in our home since 2001, when Iris came to stay with us when Brian and Mary went on vacation, Iris would become the boss and take over Kensey's bed and Kensey never gave Iris any trouble about it.  Iris was the friendliest dog I ever came in contact with, she never, ever snapped at anyone.  Leah, Sissy and Charlie were never afraid of her and could do anything to her and Iris would let them.  She was full of love and gave love to everyone.  Iris passed in September of 2013 and we all miss her bunches.  She was an awesome pet and part of our family

Kylie turns double digit, the big 10

Kylie had her birthday at the Ice Cream parlor in Kimmswick on 8-13-2013, the day before her birthday because she started 4th grade on her birthday.  It was a great party.  Kylie is getting prettier by the day.  She is so smart and she is turning into a little me with her interest in crafts.  We have so much fun doing crafts and baking, she loves baking in the kitchen with me, big chef and little chef, that is what she always says about us.  I can't believe it has been 10 years ago that this angel came into our lives, we are so blessed.
